How to read your Blood Pressure
Published on:September 16 2022
Blood pressure is measured using two numbers:
Systolic blood pressure (the first or upper number): Measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
Diastolic blood pressure (the second or lower number): Measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart rests between beats.
For example, if the measurement reads 120 Systolic and 80 Diastolic, the reading would be “120/80 mmHg”.
